02 MG TF160 For Sale
Here we have my MG TF 160 in Tahiti Blue, complimented with a blue roof which really sets this car off (In my opinion).
The car has done 87,000 miles, MOT’d until July 2014 but no Tax (ran out in Feb just gone) which is annoying as we’ve had a few days of the Sun since!!!
I have very recently spent a decent amount of money mechanically to get it running as it is now. Before Christmas had an engine rebuild by MG Rover Solutions and work included a replacement lower mileage Cylinder Head with new Head Gasket, Timing Belt and Service (including new Oil, Plugs, Coolant, Timing Belt, Fan Belt and Filters).
Obviously there are good and bad points to most vehicles and I will be as honest as I can be in listing these as I want the new owner to be fully aware of what they are getting. So........
Good Points
Tax (End Feb 2014) & MOT (July 2014)
Quite rare Tahiti Blue paintwork with matching Blue Hood (Good Rear Screen)
Magnecor HT Leads installed last year
Recent engine rebuid work carried out
2 Recent rear Toyo T1-r’s (less than 500 miles ago)
Kenwood CD Player (Aftermarket)
New main beam Bosch 90% Brighter Bulbs
Full Leather Interior
Original Owners Handbook/Service Book with stamps @ 4,923k 12,622k 16,536k 21,184k 36,327k 63,199k 80,615k (Another Service carried out at 86,100 by the MG Rover Solutions same time as the engine rebuild but unfortunately no stamp in the book for this.
Bad Points
Couple of small holes in hood with repair efforts from the previous owner
Drivers seat bolster has a tear, again with a repair effort from previous owner
Alloys have some kerbing
Needs a new front Lambda/Oxygen Sensor as there’s slight miss when accelerating harshly at low revs
Accelerator Cable is sticking slightly
Some spots of rust in common areas
Could do with 2 new front tyres but these are still legal. I would advise 4 wheel alignment at the same time as it is out at the moment and did wander a little last time she was at motorway speeds so would definitely advise getting this done. (I haven't sorted the tracking as it may as well be done whilst changing the tyres and I haven't needed to use it on the motorway since)
Previously had an oil leak which I think has been found and sealed during the rebuild, but there is still evidence of oil that appears on the floor when it rains but I believe it's old oil that is dripping off the frame when the leak was still present. Now I can’t guarantee that it isn't fresh oil that appears but a leak source was found and sealed during the rebuild.
Thanks very much for looking........ I am looking for £1300 but am open to all offers
