fault code PD 123

hi

any one let me know a possible cause of fault code PD123, not for me lol. i sold my daughters 25 a year ago to a girl down the street, it is a Y plate but has a 06 ZR engine we fitted with 25000 miles on it. anyway the girl has not had any problems with the car and its just gone throught the mot no probs again but yesterday she knocked my door asking where abouts the diagnostic socket was as she had RAC out and he couldnt find it lol.

i saw her today and asked how she got on with the RAC and as per normal they were less than useless, when he tried the code reader he cleared several old errors but was left with PD123 throttle potentiometer electrical fault ( thats what she said, dont quote me lol ). as the car was running rough i asked if he checked , plugs, coil packs, air filter etc. the reply was pathetic, he didnt check under bonnet as it was raining and he didnt want to get engine damp, WTF.

i said i will take a look if its fine tomorrow, i did however find out she hasnt topped up oil, water or did oil and filter and air filter since buying the car a year ago, women drivers lol.

i have a couple of things in mind but wondered if someone had this code for me.
