Glass Rear Screen

Hi guys, not sure if any of you remember me from a while back? I'm sure the Water Waiters do as I went on a few runs with them a couple of years back.



Anyway, I've just bought myself a TF 160 for a bargain that's in pretty good nick (yes I know I need to post pics) and it has an MGF mania rear heated screen.



My question about the screen is whether or not the screen needs unzipping before dropping the hood? I ask this because when I was lowering it carefully today without unzipping, it did seem like there was a fair bit of pressure put upon the screen by the hood. I'm just a little worried about breaking it and would like to know the best way of dropping an MGF Mania screened hood.
