Bootlid Studs

For those that have the removable MG boot rack you have to live with the studs in the boot, which I don't mind - they are quirky! :) (see below)







Well the washers underneath were made of what looks like felt which has perished - I could not find any and I used these paper (?) washers as seen below in pink - do you think these are OK? will they deteriorate rapidly? I'm afraid I don't know how these will fair?? If they are not any good, does anyone know where i can get the felt washers from?
