I thought I had a RG65 gearbox but now think its the IB5??

Today I dropped the gearbox oil in my MG ZR 1.4 105+ 3 door to see how much was in it following a clutch change which has resulted in box noise

I found it had only 600mm!

I decided even though damage is now done to the box to put the correct amount of oil in and all new rather than add the 600mm old.

I took my registration to the local trade supplier who provide me with 2L of 75-80w api-gl5.

When looking at the haynes and the pictures I had seen on this site the filler and the drain plugs were not located where it said it would be.

I eventually found them on the front of the box- the filler was an 8mm allen key and the drain a 19mm bolt below the filler.

I filled with the 80w api-gl5, came home and searched for pictures on google and now think I have and IB5!

3 things if anyone would be good enough to reply please..

1. The IB5 is different oil type than the RG65- will mine be OK after filling with 80w api-gl5?

2. How can my 2003 MG ZR have an IB5 box rather than a RG65 and the reg is showing the need to use the RG65 oil on the trade computers- is it possible someone has changed the boxes and they both fit?

3.Will the mechanic having fitted a clutch for my registration which Im sure is listing as an RG65- cause issues if its in fact a IB5.

thank you all for any replies you are good enough to give me.
