My ZR's trying to eat me

The struts that hold the tailgate up are going the way of all such items, with the result that you throw the tailgate up, stick your head in and the ruddy thing collapses on you. My dog is learning new words.



There are places here in Adelaide that sell these things so I'll find it easy enough to get a couple of good quality replacements. Yes, I know you can get them rebuilt and no, I don't trust them. Similarly, second hand is cheaper but that's just shortening the time before you have to get another pair.



This thread is more to vent and comment than any search for advice.
