Front Fogs on an MGF

hi all, my friends MGF (that I do the odd repairs on) has OEM front fogs and a pair of extra fogs mounted in the lower "grille" opening - the wiring for these (made by the previous owner) is atrocious and I have temporarily disconnected it (after a cable broke loose and started shorting!!) The car is now due its MOT - and the front fogs don't work - will it be an MOT fail if the front fog switches (there are two on the console) don't work? I don't have time to fix the wiring before the MOT is due.



I was thinking I would remove the (not connected switches) and bung a couple of blanks in there - but still - if front fogs are fitted need they be functional?
