Rover 45 Connoisseur Derv, 12 months MOT, mods
Rover 45 Connoisseur Diesel. 12 months MOT, tax till end of May, just under 101k miles.
Top spec, including:
Mods:
Good bits:
Bad points:
So why am I selling it? I've always had hatch-backs, so I thought I'd try a saloon. I've had it about 8 months now and it's just not for me, so I've gone back to a hatch and got myself a facelift ZR derv instead. That's literally the only reason it's being sold - I considered keeping both.
While I've owned it, it's not been driven hard; it's rarely seen north of 3k rpm but has plenty of overtaking power if required. Recent journeys include West Mids to the Lake District and back, and also to Dorset and back and it happily cruises the whole way, returning over 50mpg average easily.
To prove my confidence in the quality of this car, I've just stuck a 12 month MOT on it last week (despite having 6 months left from previous – but for 40 quid, why not) where it sailed through except for advisories on the rear tyres. Depending on your mileage, they've got a few months left in them.
Also I've left the cat in from the MOT, but there's a decat pipe in the boot which will come with it so you have the choice.
£1095 ono, which is a lot of car for the money. Located between Evesham and Stratford upon Avon. Feel free to call 07794196506 if you have questions.
Top spec, including:
- All electric windows
- Electric sunroof
- Electric wing mirrors
- Heated leather seats
Mods:
- ZS suspension
- SDI injectors
- EGR blank
- Mafless Reidy remap
- ZS driver's seat (doesn't match passenger seat, but I have a black seat cover for it – or alternatively replacing it with an original is very cheap). This seat is also heated.
- Hairpins
Good bits:
- All belts were changed last year, as was the clutch by the PO (forum member PrimeTime). I have a receipt for the clutch and aux belts but not cam belt - but Jason @ Midlands Land Rover Services confirmed over the phone that he carried out the work.
- Coolant and oil also changed a couple of months ago.
- I recently replaced the back box (second hand but great nick) and centre section exhaust (new).
- Brand new battery about 6 weeks back.
- Only 101k on the clock; barely run-in for an L-series!
Bad points:
- A few small age-related marks as you'd expect
- Scuff on front bumper insert (see pics)
- Aircon needs regassing
- Rear tyres getting a little low
- Service history only back to 2010.
