T-series oil consumption

My 820 Vitesse seems to be using rather a lot of oil.



I've done about 3000 miles in the car since I got it at the beginning of March and I reckon that it's probably gone through about 5 litres of oil in that time.



I have serviced it (engine oil and filter, air filter, spark plugs, gearbox oil) as well, and while it runs better, the oil consumption is still high IMO.



The plugs looked pretty healthy when I took them out (greyish deposits, no oil or carbon really).



It doesn't seem to be burning any as there's no blue cloud behind on acceleration. I've taken the intercooler hose off and it looks dry in there. There are a few leaks, but no worse than on the L-series in my 400.



Any ideas? Is the turbo likely to be at fault? Perhaps this is normal consumption for the T-series



P.S. Currently using 10W-40 Semi-synthetic (Shell Helix), if that makes any difference.
