Telematics box - SRS light now on

For my daughter's motor insurance we had to have a telematics box (black box) fitted to her Rover 25 1.4 (2002 model). The installation involved the installation company removing the instrument panel to fit the box. Fitting time was about 40 minutes. Now the SRS light is flickering on/off and then staying on all the time after 5 mins of driving.



Has anyone any idea why this would be happening? The car was fine with NO SRS light issues before the insurance company fitted this device. They have advised they will investigate.



Just wondering if anyone has seen this problem before ?
