Help, I made an oopps and its driving me mad

Anyone who has seen the thread below, will know I have been trying to sort out the sunroof drains on my 75 tourer,

Anyway I think I got a bit over excited when I was rodding the outlet pipe as when I removed the pipe spring the outlet pipe was on the end of it. Incredibly stupid I know.....



Try as I might (and I have) I just don't seem to be able to get it back in, just wondered if anyone else had this problem and what they did to sort it.....
