Help !! :)

Im having problems with the battery / alternator on my 2002 mg zr . I recently got a new battery due to.it occasionally going flat . This didnt solve the problem so i was advised by a garage that the alternator was the problem and it wasnt charging the battery . I then got another alternator put.on and still the battery keeps going flat. It will start at first and i can drive around and it will start a couple of times before eventually going flat again . I put a new earth lead on as i was advised.it could be that but no it didnt solve it . Im now completly lost for ideas on what to do so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated :) thanks .
