Latest Tyre Shennanigans

Well, several weeks ago you may recall I fitted Nexen 6000s to the rear of my TF (16"). Immediately the handling was god-awful.



Over the last few weeks I have reduced the pressures and now at 29psi (from the recommended 36) it handles much better but is by no means perfect. The swaying from side to side is gone, but it still tramlines.



My advice is therefore, for the TF at least, avoid the Nexens. Seeing the fronts are going to need doing soon I will go the tried and trusted T1Rs.



If I keep the car that is....



I should say that Nexen tyres are great, generally, just not for the TF. I used them on my C70 T5 and they were faultless. So no need to have a downer on Nexen!
