MG ZR 1.4 clutch issue

First of all I´m new at this forum and I´m spanish (so sorry for my english :))





Recently (in september) I bought an used Mg ZR 1.4 MK1 from 2003 with 72.000km (about 44.000 miles) because I always been an MG lover and that´s what I want as my first car :)



Here is my problem;



Yesterday I was driving to work and the clutch started to do somenthing not normal. The clutch works fine and the gears fit normally but when the clutch goes up, sometimes it stops for a little and then goes totally up, I mean; it goes up in 2 times when you lift the clutch. At the same time I feel like the car needs more accelaration on slopes from a stop.



I think all this can be caused by a slack on the clutch cable but, what do you think about it? You probably all know better this cars than me :confused:
