Chinese sat nav playing up

I have one of the Chinese built sat nav units as supplied by radio guy, it has started playing up. It only gives you about a minute to enter the destination before it automatically reverts to the map screen. Once you are driving it is impossible to change destination or access any other sat nav function without turning the ignition off. Previously it was fine. Can anybody suggest what the problem might be?
