Help! ZTT has a new water feature!

Couple of days ago, started to notice odd smell in car so went looking tonight. Rear footwell on drivers side is quite literally swimming in water. I have pulled carpets back as best I can and drained the water using Karcher vacuum as it was that bad. I genuinely have no idea where this amount of water can be getting in. Roofline, interior of door pillars dry, all other footwells also dry. Very odd and no idea where to start. Anyone heard of this issue please?
