MGTF Insurance Quote - Modifications?

I called Admiral Multicar today to check on MGTF insurance costs when adding one to my Multicar policy. I only pay £400 total for both my Volvo V70 and Megane Coupe. They quoted just £161 for the year - fully comp max no claims, clean record with a Lincoln post code. I'm 68 today and so I do get one benefit for my age! But when I started listing the mods on the car, it became very difficult - they didn't understand common place things like 's/s coolant pipes' or even 's/s 4-pipe exhaust'. My question is, how much do you declare? Is it worth mentioning s/s mods (it seems not), wheel upgrades, AP brakes if non-standard, mapping, and other engine mods designed purely to improve cooling? It was pointless on the phone but I'm considering sending them a small non-comprehensive list later and see what happens.

I've not got 'Assured Valuation' either which people on here advise but as the car is only going to be valued at £3K tops, is it worth it?
