cam belt failure
Hi
im new here,i would like to get of to a brighter start with my mgf,but the cambelt went before i got around to it,iv'e stripped the head, all the exhaust valves are bent and the anti vibration ring has split on the exhaust cam pulley, other than that fairly ok.
As for the head gasket which showed no signs of failure and the inside of the engine is really clean,it already has metal dowels, the liners are flush and the head gasket that was in is a single layer with orange silicone,im having the head skimmed anyway so would it be wrong to fit the multi layer gasket?it seems as im going to have to buy all my parts seperatly as all the kits i've so far seen come with the multi layer.
any advice greatly recieved Trev
