Freelander injectors - The low down
So, I've had my injectors in for a few months now and all is going well, however some of the features that made me go with them in the first place don't really apply, so I thought for other users maybe debating which to go for, users who have/had them fitted can post their experiences in this thread so people can better make a judgment as my experience with freelander injectors isn't as rosy as I thought it would be.
So, maybe something like this (I will include my answers in the example):
Car: ZR+ Standard 115 map, 4 month old MAF giving slightly low readings.
Mods: Freelander injectors, Cone filter, EGR disabled.
Smoke:
Yes, foot to the floor from 1500 rpm, my car smokes quite heavily as boost is built maybe when I hit 2000rpm and upto 2500rpm. It also smokes under dual carriageway conditions under heavy acceleration. Smoke seems to be avoided by me not putting my foot to the floor but gradually putting it down.
Judder when slowing down:
Yes, when cold only, will judder when I come out of the car park, but when I get to the main road (maybe 500 metres away) the judder has gone.
Fuel consumption:
No noticeable difference.
