MG ZR 1.8 vvc, issues when cold
Recently bought this MG 3 days ago, it survived the whole journey home (180miles) without screwing me over with the engine management light on...
However one of the issues i have, is when turning the ignition on and turning it off you can hear some kind of strange squelching noise coming from the throttlebody, along with a high pitched tone. I narrowed it down to the sensor (sorry i don't know the name of it) to the one on the front edge, right hand side of the throttle body... Anyone know if this is normal?
Another one, is when the car is stone cold, i.e next morning, you can go to drive off and the car is pretty much unresponsive, with the clutch fully engaged, pedal to the floor if needbe, it is really sluggish, doesn't really accelerate for about 3-7 seconds, then can just fly off in a tearing hurry...
With this as well, rolling to a stop at the end of my road, with the clutch pedal fully down, the idle became shuddery and spluttered itself out, then that's when i know the car isn't gunna be responsive to pull out....
I am putting the car through the diagnostics test later on, when my mate brings his obd2 examiner :P So hopefully i can have some fault codes to chuck on here when that is done.
any help or advice would be greatly appreciated
