MG ZS diesel Mk 2 £600 ono
Hello all
I have for sale my MG ZS Mk2 diesel in Blue, please read the full add.
Car has covered just under 150,000 miles, has Tax until 31/01/15 and MOT until 16/11/2014. I will put a new MOT on the car for the new owner if it sells for £600. The modifications and new parts added are worth that alone. I'm sure I'd get more for the car if I broke it into parts but time is always money!
Modifications:
· SDI injectors and increased boost (19-20psi).
· Dark Ice Design De-Cat (original in the boot).
· Dark Ice Design boost pipe.
· Roose Motorsport boost hoses.
· EGR blanking plates.
· Remapped on Rolling Road pulling 142bhp & 247ft-lb with a failing fuel pump (replaced and goes much quicker) paperwork to prove.
· 180 V6 front brake calipers with grooved & drilled front discs all brand new in January 2013 (just fitted new pads front and rear).
· Stainless steel rear back box which I asked to be made with as much goes as possible but also as quiet as possible which gives it a nice note but not too loud.
· MG ZS 180 V6 interior from a 48,000 mile car (saloon) including leather arm rest and drinks holder.
· K&N filter in the boot as I have replaced MAF so replaced with standard filter.
· Lower engine linkage bar has the large bush polibushed (small one is badly worn as are the top linkage bar).
List of new and replaced parts:
· New clutch fitted June 2014.
· Replacement gearbox June 2014 (mine was leaking oil onto the clutch).
· New radiator March 2014.
· New thermostat March 2014.
· New water pump May 2014.
· New lower radiator hose June 2014.
· New rear brake calipers both sides April 2014 with new pads.
· New exhaust downpipe flexie as mine snapped, November 2013.
· Genuine Bosch MAF meter in June 2014 (+£100).
· Three new Hankook tyres March 2014 and the other rear replaced December 2013 so all good tyres, will measure tread and update.
· Replacement fuel pump November 2012.
· Cambelt changed at 98,000 miles, May 2012.
· Genuine Rover mats.
The car has two main faults:
1. The car has always has a funny ignition / starting fault that is very intermittent, it will have no issues for 10 months then play up most days for a few weeks, I will try and find the thread on here. So when it plays up, the car will start and then cut off after 5 seconds, the only way I have found to get over this is drive off flicking the ignition, once in second gear put the throttle down full and around 30mph it clears and will run fine.
2. The car overheats once you hold it at or over 90mph on the motorway for a period of time. I cannot get it to overheat holding the throttle at 3,500rpm for 5 minutes and then giving it bursts of throttle between 2,000 and 4,000rpm for another couple of minutes (the car sits just under half way on the temperature gauge which is normal). I have noticed the engine mounts are very worn and you can feel the engine move when you go on and off the throttle. It has had a new radiator, water pump and thermostat which hasn't changed anything. It has also had the water tested for gasses (head gasket checks) which didn't show anything wrong. Local driving and normal speeds and the car has no issues and runs at the normal temperature.
Other faults:
· Air conditioning does not blow cold.
· Nearside rear wheel arch has a slight dent and scrap, please see pictures.
· Scratch in the paint on the nearside rear door, see picture.
· Nearside front door handle has something wrong, see picture.
· Windscreen has a small chip at the top of the driver’s side, see picture.
· Drivers door has a worn hinge, brand new one in the boot and paint but not fitted.
Any other questions please PM my and I will reply ASAP.
Many thanks for looking Gray.
