more poor performance related questions.

Prob going to be really hard to answer this one without seeing/driving my new car i got last week but thought id see what you guys thought



2005 zs td 115



owner told me when he got it, it was very slow and wouldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding. A friend of his mapped it for him and he said it was like a new car and pulls well. All seems standard, air filter, cat on etc etc apart from a dark ice inlet pipe and im guessing its standard boost but cant be sure without a gauge.



Car went on the rollers yesterday and made 116 brake which i was a little surprised at after him saying it was loads better after a map, i thought these cars were about that standard. The video shows the smoke levels which id say are not from a standard map but i may be wrong, maf sensor is fine too because Ive swapped it over to my rover and it pulls fine. Any ideas why so low power? Would a stuck open egr cause low results or would that put my eml on and tell me it was goosed anyway?
