MGTF rubbish headlights

Now the darker nights are drawing in, I have noticed more that the headlights on the TF are absolute rubbish. Are all TF headlights rubbish or is there something I could do with mine to improve them? They are far worse than the lights on my clio for example which has the standard bulbs in. Any ideas?
