I like a bet on F1

Last race of the year so if either Hamilton or Rosberg wins the WDC I'm already a few quid up as I backed both before a wheel was turned this season. Better odds then.

Had a glance at some other wagers on the GP and spotted an unusual opportunity. Tell you why. Qualifying. I like to dabble a bit on Qualifying match bets. I see that Hamilton v. Rosberg match, Hamilton favourite to out-qualify his team mate is 8/11 ( odds-on: eleven wins you eight ) whilst Rosberg is 1/1 ( evens ) to beat him.

Looking at other match bets in Qualifying, Hamilton is 8/13 whilst any other driver to beat him is 6/5. Any other driver includes Rosberg. .. :)... OK so it should be a two horse race but .... if anyone fancies Rosberg to maintain his recent qualifying hold over his team mate, 6/5 any other driver surely is the far better value. 20% better than even money! Most unusual.

Think I'll throw away a few quid at 6/5 and if Hamilton beats him in Q3, chances are he'll win and any Brit win is fine in my books so, win-win situation for me.

Fed up with the uncertainty of who drives what next year.

Based on the reliability of his car's form this year, I suspect that it was known within the team that Vettel wanted out long ago. That would explain the more reliable performance of Ricciardo's car and strategies during the season until very recently. ... and rightly so.

I shall be very disappointed if Alonso drives for McLaren next season.Looks likely. More so if he pushes Button out. Must be his Santander money .... he is the pay driver with the largest purse on the grid apparently.

Talking about pay drivers. Maldonado has been behaving himself lately. all very strange ... ;)
