Rover 75 Handbrake Caput
Hi Gents,
I have been operating my handbrake for years with maximum tension (just to get it to bite). The other day it died, no tension at all. Nothing happening.
I have booked a slot in the associative garage (place where I can fix it) but need to take the best guess on which bit is bust so I can buy the replacement.
My 75 has done about 200k Miles. Any idea on the most likely cause of the problem. Must be one of the cables, or the compensator, but think as NOTHING is happening it is probably not the secondary cables. Think it is more likely to be primary cable or compensator.
I tried to add a compensator to by shopping list but seems Rimmer is out of them at present.
Any useful pointers would be much appreciated.
Best Regards
Richard
