Alarm Issues!!

Hi everyone,

I will apologize in advance if this has already been asked and covered.



I have a Rover 75 2004, MK2.

The issue that I have is that my alarm will go off out of the blue.

Just so you have a bit of understanding the light on the dashboard for the door/ boot is constantly on when driving yet all the doors, boot and bonnet are closed and secure.

The boot when closing sometimes will not always catch properly. I tried adjusting the gromit screws (5 on the bottom) to no avail.

I have also used maintenance spray on the catch.



Please bear in mind that the boot does close securely, as does the bonnet and doors.



Could this light on the dash relate to the issue that I'm having with the alarm?



I've read through various bits on this site and tried them. This is confusing me now.

Could anyone help shed some light on this for me??

Any help or advice is greatly received...
