Cambelt/Tensioner/Waterpump replacement advice please

HI,



Have removed old belt, tensioner and waterpump. Got a few questions and would appreciate some advice please



1) Does the new waterpump need sealant on the o-ring gasket, Haynes does not mention it.



2) The waterpump I removed was 2003 so would be the factory fitted one, some of the bolts have blue loctite on them, haynes manual does not mention it. I'm planning on just cleaning the bolts and putting them back in without any loctite as they were tight enough and with such a fine thread I do not think they will come out in a hurry. I suspect these are easily cross threaded or stripped.



3) The tensioner bolt although called patchbolt in the manual as if it has some thread lock on it is 100% clean, it does not look like it ever had any thread lock on it. Can I reuse as it is / do I have to add thread lock or should I buy a new bolt ? (any idea as to cost?)



4) The tensioner bolt in the haynes manual says 45 Nm but the rover manual I saw referenced from this forum see below says 25 Nm
