Hazard warning light problem?

Hi all, my 2003 ZR 2.0td has developed a strange fault with the hazard warning lights. As I am driving, the red warning triangle on the dash (next to the other warning lights) flickers every now and then. There are no other symptoms, the hazards work perfectly when I tested them, all the relays and fuses are secure, and as I am a bit of a biff when it come to electrical bits and bobs I thought it would be best if I asked first. If anyone can shed any light on this I will be very grateful.
