Engineproblem after automatic washer

Hello fellow Mg/Rover owners,

Yesterday I decided to drive my MG ZS 180 2.5L -05 through a automatic washer (you know, those who wash your car while you just sit there while your car is being pulled by some kind of conveyorbelt) and when it was done my car hade some problem getting started so I assume some water did get where its not supposed to be.

Any how, it started after 10min and I drove the 10km to work and during my workshift I started and moved my car without any struggle, but later that day it started to act funny. It started but had lots of problem to stay alive under 4000rpm and the longest we could keep it alive was around 3-4min without dying.

We towed the car to a garage and I popped the hood and removed the top plastic of the engine to let the moisture "air out".

I have planned to get to the garage tomorrow to try to start it.

So what do you experts think might have happened and what can be the solution to the problem ?

Im sorry if my spelling is bad, but its not my fault...im just swedish :)
