MG ZS 180 wet passenger floors?
Hi all,
I noticed both the passenger side front and rear carpets were soaked with water.
So i've removed the interior and carpet which was completely saturated and a lot of water was in the footwells.
I'm not sure where it could be coming from?
The sound proofing in the passenger footwell on the bulkhead is wet from the bottom to about half way up which i asume has become wet from braking and the water moving to the front and the foam soaking some of the water up.
I've also noticed the rear boot ( Mk1 saloon ) doesn't touch the seal properly on the passengers side closest to the window. The boot seems raised along it's width right where water would run down the rear window.
Is this a common problem with the boots not making a seal here?
I don't think the water is coming in from the front of the car because the rear passenger seat foam is soaking wet and discoloured, and if a leak were present in the front the water wouldn't have made it's way up and over into the rear seat compartment.
Any tips on how to get the boot to shut properly at the point mentioned above? Bearing in mind the boot shuts are fine closest to the back end of the car.
The passenger rear wing behind behind the covers is pretty wet too so i imagine water is running in here somewhere and then along into the footwells?
Drivers side is completely dry.
Thanks for any help,
Connor.
