Srs
Hi All, I have a Rover 25 year 2000 W Reg. After many years of trundling around the SRS light has started come on intermittently, on for a few days then off for a few days. I quickly decided that the fault most probably lies with under-seat connector, which connects to the pretensioner . This can easily work loose. So I replaced the connector with hard wiring. The wires on either side of the connector are not the same colour (of course) and I am not certain if the connector is polarity sensitive. Could any-one confirm the correct wiring colours across the connector. Also for test purposes I need to replace the pretensioner lead with a fixed resistor , I have read that various values of resistance indicate a no fault pretensioner from 0.1 to 2K ohm, with the majority opting for around 2.7 ohm. No way am I going to test the pretensioner with an ohm meter, in case it blows off. Can any one cofirm the correct resistance for a no fault pretensioner.
