Hi Guys, whilst I was cleaning my 2004 MG TF the other day, having the boot and bonnet open, my mind was drawn to the possibility of the cables breaking at some inopportune moment. Having cast an uneducated eye over the cable placement I thought. Maybe someone on the forum has also considered this situation.

So has anyone designed, installed, a secondary/emergency method of open the bonnet and/or boot, in case of main cable failure. I know you can by an electric boot upgrade, I am thinking simple emergency secondary cable.

Any ideas?
