ZR Key Fob Help

I changed the battery today in the fob and cannot get it working. I unlocked teh door and kept it closed then pressed the lock button 20 times but nothing happened
is my fob dead? or how can i fix it

also if i but this from ebay will i be able to put it straight in the casing and do the above procedure and it will work?
