Hi, my name is martyn and I'm looking to embark on 'Project Flinstone'. This is to build a Ferrari Dino Replica. I am going to see the company in two weeks time who are based in suffolk (Dehavilland Motor Company). They do a kit based on the MGF however as I'm into detail I'm looking to do a variation...namely a 1.8T just won't cut the mustard. My thought is the KV6 and use a lot of MGZTT parts. My problem is if you take a KV6 engine/gearbox and mid mount it you effectively turn it around, you now have 5 reverse gears and 1 forward gear. How do you get around that? and helpful advice welcomed and i'll be sure to report on a regular basis on my journey. You may be asking why Project Flinstone well his pet was Dino!!
