Hello

I have a rover 25 1.6 (now) 2000 model.

I have rought idle when cold and loss of power just under 3000rpm till 3500rpm

I read the ecu with odb reader i had 2 faults p0340 so i changed cam saft sensor and that went away and p0170 that comes and goes.

Also i noticed that sometimes when i start the car in my odb reader i get values on 02 sensor 0.1 - 0.2 volts and stft1 -19.5% when i get these values idle is ok not perfect but ok.
Then after a couple of minutes i get open loop (sys error) on 02 sensor monitor and stft 0.0% then the idle becomes real rought and until i turn of the car and turn it on again it stays that way....

Any thoughts? I have changed loom, cam saft sensor,coil packs,maf sensor,etc.

Could it be 02 Sensor that stops working when ever it likes? Can i test it some how?

One last thing When in open loop and not using 02 sensor what controls idle?
