Engine advice

Hi guys. I'm building a track car and looking into racing it next year. I'm looking at keeping it n/a as not to race 800hp scoobys and evos. Just wondering:

what the max you can get out of the 1.8vvc? Or is there a better/faster engine you would run instead?
