Excessive tyre wear

Hi guys.



Bit of a random one. My car passed its MOT in November, I had new tyres fitted about 2 months earlier. To this day the tyres have done about 1500 - 2000 miles.



However I have noticed that they now look like racing slicks, it has happened to both of the rears, they are absolutely bold across the whole tyre, almost exactly the same amount on each tyre.



How could this be. Could it be faulty tyres, too much load ( i don't carry more then normal supplies in the boot), wheel alignment, I recently had the handbrake tightened, could it be too tight and causing the wheels to not move freely, or anything else you might know of.
