perkins prima to L series similarities?

Hi there

just doing some thinking, got a boat that badly needs more power, it currently has a perkins prima.

as i am planning to fit an L series in its place i was just wondering how similar if at all the manifold ports are between the two engines? as if they were close it would mean less work in fitting wet manifolds as i would already have a good base to go on
