Running without a thermostat??

I have a ZR 1.8 turbo and I was wondering if it would cause any problems/damage if i was to run it without a thermostat for a couple of weeks. I will wire the fan so it's constant so it's kept cool. I know it will take ages for the engine to heat up(that's if it does at all!) and it will use a little more fuel for the warming up process but other than this will it wreck anything?
