Seat frames MkI vs MkII

Hi all,



I've decided to finally upgrade my MGF from MkI seats to MkII - the rest of the interior is already upgraded. Now I have a couple of Q's that I haven't been able to find an answer to (as a newbie here I haven't becom friends with the search function yet):



Are the MkI and MkII frames so similar that they're a direct swap? Or are they even identical? If the latter, would it be possible to just get MkII foams and fit them to my MkI frames?
