Size of Battery for ZS 120+

Most of the battery suppliers offer batteries that will fit the carrier but NOT the vehicle .The poor positioning of the battery carrier means that the headlamp gizmos intrude on the battery space,limiting the Ah of the battery capable of being fitted down to a max of 52Ah ,which is fine if you use the vehicle frequently but not so good if it stands outside for a couple of weeks. Has anybody tried using a battery with a length of say 242mm, and letting it overhang? Has anybody modified the battery carrier so that it can occupy the space opposite to the headlamp gear?
