Smokestone Dash

So, smokestone is that light-ish grey colour, isn't it? If so, that's the colour I have, but the airbag cover (not a blanking plate) on the passenger side has the smokestone finish chipping away to show the black plastic behind it.



Does anyone have any ideas on repairing/painting this part? I have no issues taking it out to paint or repair.
