zs turbo boost!!!

hi im new here, I have an mg zs+ turbo diesel and I want to get extra boost from the turbo, does the rod need to be shorter or longer? any advice would be appreciated. I also have a maf compensator which came with the car but no instructions so if anyone has one could they tell me the best settings for it? thanks
