Air box mod???

Hi all,

Wanted to ask the question to see if it is possible to do the "air box mod" to a 2001 MGF like you would to the smaller bubble MGR's.



So what im talking about is the small tube inside the air filter box that people remove on the rover 25's to make the car sound a bit more "throaty". Is it possible to do this on the F's or is it just a bubble thing?



If so, is it likely to affect/decrease power from the engine?

If anyone has done it before does it make a big difference in sound?
