Cold Running 1.8 Engine

Hi All,

I have a quick question on the above. I have noticed in the last couple of weeks that the running temperature shown on the temperature gauge in my car is no longer just below the half-way line when it's been fully warmed up. It's been dropping a little by little on the last few journies and now doesn't get above a quarter on the gauge, even when run for a half hour. I've listed some recently replaced parts as a guide, but can anyone give a steer based upon these? Many of the parts on the cooling system of my car are recently new and all was ok for a while after fitting. I've also noticed that, following this reduction on what the gauge shows, my temperature also drops noticeably if I floor the throttle or drive it hard, just for 30 seconds.

Replaced in last 18 months (covered approx. 3k miles since):-

Thermostat

Water Pump

IMG

Radiator (used but nearly new replacement)

Coolant Bottle Expansion Cap

HG

Coolant (OAT, with flush of full system and heater matrix, then properly bled)

Original:-

Coolant Temperature Sensors (both on elbow)

Any ideas what this could be? I'm pained to think it's the thermostat again, after just 18 months and 3k miles of use.

Wigster.
