Insurance- locate a policy?

A cry for help guys.



My policy lapsed last October as i put the car away. Now I want to renew it but can't find the letter of no claims. The problem is I can't remember the insurer either.



I've checked back on bank statements but they only go to jan13, the insurance would have been taken out in 2012 so no luck there. Anyone got ideas of where or how to find the info? I checked the MIB website earlier but they want 10 quid plus forms filling out and mailing to them then wait for a reply. I'm due to travel back to Spain with the car so won't have enough time to wait for that option.



Am I out of luck and going to have to insure as a newbie without no claims or is there an option?
