Rover 75 CD32 car - compatibility with modern Blaupunkt head units?

I've got a 2003 Rover 75 which has a factory-fitted Blaupunkt CD32 single-slot CD/tuner. It works well, but I'm considering replacing it with a more modern Blaupunkt head unit (e.g. Toronto 420 BT http://ift.tt/1jNzPU0) with useful features like iPod control, USB capability and Bluetooth.



Has anyone replaced a CD32 with a modern Blaupunkt and do the steering wheel controls work? This is my main reason for opting for the Blaupunkt brand - I have a good Pioneer stereo with iPod control, but don't think it would work with the remote controls and wouldn't look great in the 75 anyway.
