VP 30 timing set up
Hello Chaps. I have another of those unusual problems. I was given a nice clean VP30 pump from a seized series1 2003 model. One small problem. whomever took the pump off did not bother to set the pump timing pin nor the use the location bolt on the side.
The result is that my local BOSCH AGENT wants an arm and a leg to check the pump and set it for later use. If the pump was defective I would not hesitate or keep it for the solenoid and other stuff.
My worry is that if I use the timing location hole the pump will be 180 degrees out mechanically. Being a single piston I am unsure if this will play havoc on the electronics.
If anyone knows how to set up the pump I am sure it will help many.
Thank you in advance.
