1997 Mems 1.9 fault Code 5

I am trying to sort out high emissions on the above. I bought a T300 and have air temp code 5 fault showing. This resets and does not reappear. If the sensor had been faulty in the past would the Mems ignore it until fault reset? If it did this could cause the fault.



I see that you can also change the CO on the T300, mine is set to 124. Has anyone correlated the T300 CO settings to CO emission from the exhaust?



I could just wind down the CO - the engine almost stalls if you wind it right down and then get an MOT that way??
