I want a stiffy

Granted most people on here neither care.. or understand torsional stiffness and how it affects how a car handles

Hell some even think a stiff car will have a hard bumpy ride..

Found this site with some interesting figures..

http://ift.tt/1gOmbFd

Bare in mind out cars are all less than 8,000 Nm.. Probably less than 7,000

The newest Koengisegg holds the current record for a road car at 65,000 Nm

MG made structural changes to the TF to improve the figure over the F..

Our biggest issue is the fact we have no roof.. but newer soft top/open top cars have achieved better figures..

Without doubt.. the single best option for us (other than selling and buying a ZR lol) is a full weld in cage.. fine.. as long as you don't mind living with the look.. and your insurance company are ok with it...

Other than that.. there is no 'off the shelf' kit for F/TF owners

F owners can buy the TF brace kit (3 parts) to improve the figure.. but what do TF owners do?

Every time I see a post on a forum from someone saying 'im building a track day beast/monster' I think and what are you doing about suspension, ARBs, brakes and torsional stiffness?

Anyone know how many Nm are added when you fit 'racing stripes'?...

I know of 5 F/TFs (bound to be more) currently under construction that are all above 200 BHP.. whats anyone else doing (if anything)?

Thoughts/input/views welcomed... pointless negativity tolerated.. lol

Discuss...
